Overall Success
Did you know that Hypnotherapy has a much higher and faster success rate than any other therapy?
According to a study published in a pear reviewed journal Hypnotherapy had a 93% success rate in after just 6 sessions.
Behaviour Therapy had 72% success rate after 22 sessions Psychotherapy had only 38% success rate after 600 sessions!!
So, hypnotherapy can save you a lot of time and a lot of money.

Migraines
Hypnosis Reduces Frequency and Intensity of Migraines
Years after treatment, 85% (44/52) reported continued relief with self-hypnosis and many emphasized the value of self-hypnosis to life stresses.

Insomnia
90% improvement in insomnia
Two or fewer hypnosis sessions were provided to 75 children ages 7-17 and they were taught self-hypnosis.
"Of the 70 patients reporting a delay in sleep onset of more than 30 minutes, 90% reported a reduction in sleep onset time following hypnosis. Of the 21 patients reporting nighttime awakenings more than once a week, 52% reported resolution of the awakenings and 38% reported improvement.
Somatic complaints amenable to hypnosis were reported by 41%, including chest pain, dyspnea, functional abdominal pain, habit cough, headaches, and vocal cord dysfunction. Among these patients, 87% reported improvement or resolution of the somatic complaints following hypnosis."
Conclusion: "hypnosis appears to facilitate efficient therapy for insomnia"

Hypnosis better than medication or placebo
“Significantly more patients had a normal night’s sleep when on autohypnosis alone than when they received placebo or Mogadon (a sleep medication).”

IBS
80% of female IBS patients experienced significantly reduced IBS symptoms.
1000 IBS patients, age range 17-91 years (mean age 51.6 years) receiving 12 sessions of hypnotherapy over 3 months.
76% met the primary outcome which was higher (80%) in females (a 50 point reduction in the IBS Symptom Severity Score)
67% reported a 30% or more reduction in abdominal pain scores.
Pain days fell from 18 to 9 per month.
Patients with anxiety fell from 63% to 34%.
Patients with depression fell from 25% to 12%.
Conclusion: These results provide further evidence that gut-focused hypnotherapy is an effective intervention for refractory IBS.

Hypnosis provides long term relief in 54% of patients with IBS.
In a 464 patient trial, at the end of therapy hypnosis was superior to control conditions in producing adequate symptom relief and in reducing global gastrointestinal score.

Weightloss
Hypnosis over 30 Times more effective for Weight Loss than other approaches - and for keeping it off 2 years later.
Study of 60 females, at least 20% overweight.
Treatment included group hypnosis with metaphors for ego-strengthening, decision making and motivation, ideomotor exploration in individual hypnosis, and group hypnosis with maintenance suggestions.
an average of 17 lbs lost by the hypnosis group vs. an average of 0.5 lbs lost by the control group, on follow-up.

Hypnosis can more than double the effects of traditional weight loss approaches
An analysis of five weight loss studies reported in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology in 1996 showed that the "… weight loss reported in the five studies indicates that hypnosis can more than double the effects" of traditional weight loss approaches.

Alcohol & Drug Users
Hypnosis Raises Self-esteem & Serenity. Lowers Impulsivity and Anger
This study evaluated the effectiveness of a self-hypnosis protocol with chronic drug and alcohol patients in increasing self-esteem, improving affect, and preventing relapse against a control.
Participants were 261 veterans admitted to Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (SARRTPs).
individuals who played the self-hypnosis audiotapes "at least 3 to 5 times a week" at 7-week follow-up reporting the highest levels of self-esteem and serenity, and the least anger/impulsivity, in comparison to the minimal-practice and control groups.

Post Surgical Wound Healing
18 women trial having exactly same operation. 6 of the women had 8 adjunctive hypnosis sessions targeting accelerated wound healing.
The wounds of the women who had hypnosis healed objectively (measured) faster than the other groups.
"Analysis of variance showed the hypnosis group's objectively observed wound healing to be significantly greater than the other two groups...Results of this preliminary trial indicate that use of a targeted hypnotic intervention can accelerate postoperative wound healing"

Cancer Care
The illness and its treatment brings a substantial burden of symptoms, including pain, anxiety, insomnia, and grief. This article reviews the uses of hypnosis in the treatment of these cancer-related problems.
"this article provides methods and an evidence base for wider use of techniques involving hypnosis in cancer care. Altering patients' perception of pain, disease-related stress, and anxiety can help change the reality of their life with cancer."

Stress & Anxiety
Hypnosis reduced stress, anxiety, and depression and increased optimism and general well-being.
"The authors evaluated the efficacies of audio-recorded hypnosis with background music and music without hypnosis in the reduction of emotional and physical disturbances in patients scheduled for breast biopsy in comparison with a control group. A total of 75 patients were randomly assigned to 3 different groups and evaluated at base line and before and after breast biopsy using visual analog scales of stress, pain, depression, anxiety, fatigue, optimism, and general well-being. The results showed that, before breast biopsy, the music group presented less stress and anxiety, whereas the hypnosis with music group presented reduced stress, anxiety, and depression and increased optimism and general well-being. After the biopsy, the music group presented less anxiety and pain, whereas the hypnosis group showed less anxiety and increased optimism."

Bone Healing
Hypnosis subjects Healed 41% faster from fracture - Harvard study
"six weeks after an ankle fracture, those in the hypnosis group showed the equivalent of eight and a half weeks of healing."
That effectively demonstrates that using hypnosis helped that group heal bone fractures 41% faster.
